Here is a review of my Gibson Midtown Custom electric guitar. It's a great great great guitar! I played through my vintage blackface Fender Bandmaster head into a Mesa Boogie Standard 4x12 with Celestion V30's. I used a Sennheiser MD421 close miked on the cab, and a Shure SM7B in the room for a little roominess. The Tube screamer used towards the end of the clip was an Ibanez TS9 reissue with all of the controls set to 12. The Bandmaser volume was set at 7 for some slight breakup and the EQ was set to taste. Here is my review/ demo of the ESP Standard Series Viper. This guitar was manufactured in 2005 and is one of only 12 made with this particular finish. I purchased this used in mid December, 2011. It's an awesome guitar and a nice change from my usual Ibanez's! For the demo, I used my Egnater Mod 50 Custom Shop head, Mesa 4x12 cab, and a Boss DD20 Delay pedal in the Egnater's FX loop. My volume was a little louder than 'bedroom' practice volume. Thanks for watching!
