Welcome to the Boss Pedal Project! This is my attempt to collect and review every Boss compact pedal ever made. Every week, I'll be demoing a different Boss pedal. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a review! Episode 5: Boss PH-2 Super Phaser Phaser pedals are my all time favorite type of modulation pedal; my favorite phaser being the MXR Phase 45. Heck, I like phasers as much as I like overdrives and delay pedals. The PH-2 Super Phaser is not on the top of my phaser list, but it does have a very distinct sound. When you crank up the rate, it almost sounds like a chorus. The Resonance knob is something that I would definitely leave off; it makes the pedal sound more musical. It is a cool option to have though. The second mode reminds me of a cocked wah in a way. I'm not a huge fan. I tend to shy away from phasers with more than one knob, being such a Phase 45 fan. This one won't end up on my board, but there is a possibility it's older brother might (PH-1r). -Cameron Johnson Music by Atma Weapon atmaweaponnc.bandcamp.com facebook.com/atmaweaponnc
