Thanks for being patient! Unfortunately, we are not going to be treated to a very exciting pedal. The Boss BC-2 was released right along with it's bigger/ badder cousin, the PT-2 Power Stack! Both pedals are digital, and both do something very similar. They emulate the sound of a British style amp. However, the BC-2 seems to be 'modeled' after the Vox AC30, as opposed to the PT-2's Marshall flavor. The BC-2 pedal is very easy to use with the common Level, Bass, Treble, and Sound (Gain) controls. The Bass and Treble are very powerful, so tone shaping can be done to extremes if need be. The Sound knob has three labels on it: Clean, Crunch, and Drive. It's basically a gain knob. The sound knob on the 'Clean' setting was unusable, unless you compensated for the volume drop with raising the Level knob. When you get above the clean setting and into the crunch setting, that's when the pedal came alive. Cranked into the Drive setting, the gain was way too much, and actually sounded somewhat like the Heavy Metal pedal. When put in front of the High Input on my Marshall, I had to keep the Sound control at or below 12:00. Otherwise, it would get way to distorted. Overall, the BC-2 is a decent OD pedal.
