Welcome to the Boss Pedal Project! This is my attempt to collect and review every Boss compact pedal ever made. Now twice a week, I'll be demoing a different Boss pedal. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a review! Episode 7: Boss PH-1r Phaser I mentioned before that I love phasers. Well, the PH-1r is my kinda Phaser! It can be nice and subtle, or it can sound aggressive. It is pretty versatile as far as phasers go. The 3 knobs control Depth, Resonance, and Speed. As compared to the earlier PH-1, the 'r' in PH-1r means an added Resonance knob. To my ears, this adds a sort of funkiness to the end of the phase cycle. It makes it no so vibey and more phasey, if that makes sense. It probably doesn't. Well, I prefer to run mine with the Resonance knob all the way off. I haven't A/B'ed the PH-1r with my Phase 45, but I'm sure they are in the same ballpark. This is definitely a classic, classy phaser! -Cameron Johnson Music by Atma Weapon atmaweaponnc.bandcamp.com facebook.com/atmaweaponnc
