Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a review! Episode 9: Boss OD-3 Overdrive The OD-3 has long been one of the pedals I've wanted to try out. I've owned the OD-1 on three separate occasions, and stupidly sold it each time. I remember not being a huge fan of the OD-1, but I was pleasantly surprised by the OD-3. I really did enjoy messing with the OD-3. It has a nice smooth character that sounds very amp-like. And unlike most other Boss drive pedals, it works in front of a clean amp quite well! That's a huge plus in my book. I didn't have to crank the level to max just so it could get to unity gain. Out of all the overdrive pedals I've reviewed so far, this is my favorite.
