Here is a shootout with every overdrive pedal I own. I used the same guitar, amp, cab, and microphone throughout the entire video; only the pedals changed. Pedals in order of use: Xotic AC Booster, Often FX Meta Driver, Barber LTD, Barber Launch Pad, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, Electro Harmonix Big Miff, Ibanez TS9, modded Ibanez TS9, Build Your Own Clone Tube Screamer, Ibanez TS5, Digitech Bad Monkey, Nobles ODR-1, Keeley modded Pro Co Rat All the pedals' controls were set to 12:00 noon, except the Barber Launch pad. I set that to taste since it isn't a true overdrive pedal but I wanted to include it anyway. Signal path: ESP Viper (PRS HFS and VB pickups)- OD Pedal- Marshall JCM800- Mesa 4x12 cab (Celestion V30 speakers)- Sennheiser 321 microphone- Focusrite ISA One Preamp- Apogee Ensemble interface- iMac Computer In the future, setting each pedal to taste and then doing a shootout would be an awesome idea!
