Here is a quick lick in E minor that will work well with a pentatonic style line. It's not technically a pentatonic lick by itself, but I envisioned it leading into one, so that's the name! We are incorporating an E minor arpeggio (E, G, B). You can also use a b5 to make it more bluesy (E, G, Bb). You can also make it Major (E, G#, B). This pattern is all over many jazz solos. So it's basically just an E minor arpeggio starting with the 5th (B). I'm using a downstroke sweep picking to go from B (5th), to G (minor 3rd), to E (root), to B (5th), and I slide town to A (the 4th). But like I mentioned above, you can substitute the b5 in for the 5th to make it sound a little bluesier (Bb instead of B). Or you can use a major 3rd (G#) to make it major.
