Welcome to the Boss Pedal Project! This is my attempt to collect and review every Boss compact pedal ever made. Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a review! Episode 13: Boss PW-2 Power Driver The Boss PW-2 Power Driver is one of those lesser known Boss pedals. It's basically a fuzz pedal that sounds very Big Muff-ish to my ears, but it leans slightly to the distortion side of things. Apparently, it was a very poor seller for Boss, probably because they didn't market it as a fuzz. Also, controls like Muscle and Fat are pretty weird to have on a Boss pedal. Anyway, I actually do recommend this one as an alternative to a Big Muff style fuzz. I think it works best with an amp that has some drive to it, but not super gainy. When it's on a clean amp, it sounds much more lo-fi, and not super big. It definitely shines on a moderately distorted amp. These were made for less than a year, but it won't be to hard to track one down since they are not in demand really. -Cameron Johnson Music by Atma Weapon atmaweaponnc.bandcamp.com facebook.com/atmaweaponnc
