The Boss HM-2, that's how. Bands like Entombed put the HM-2 on the map, and it's the best way to get that very iconic sound. The HM-2 is almost like a fuzz/ overdrive hybrid. It's not quite a fuzz, and it's not quite and overdrive. I found that it actually works great in front of both clean and dirty amps. Obviously, it can get a little too rowdy in front of a dirty amp when you put it in 'Entombed' mode, which is every knob at max. But if you backed off the gain on the amp a bit, you get what I believe to be the fullest sound. The EQ controls are very powerful, and sound best when set right in the middle (assuming you are going for a non death metal sound). For a non 'death metal' tone, having every knob at 12:00 is a great place to start. You will want to fool with the level and distortion knobs, and set those to taste. So far, this has been my favorite demo to make. I've owned the HM-2 for about 4 years, and this was my first experience actually using it! I'd love to sneak this in an Atma Weapon song. -Cameron Johnson Music by Atma Weapon atmaweaponnc.bandcamp.com facebook.com/atmaweaponnc
